Calm Mind Mini Course

Welcome to Part 3 of the Calm Mind Mini Course!

Before watching the Video follow this guide to make the most of the session.

Today is all about inviting forgiveness and love into the heart to heal and transform negativity.

Spending all of our time in our minds, fuels feelings of doubt and fear. Spending time scrolling through social media is the perfect way to feed the mind with comparisons that can leave you feeling increasingly disconnected. It also dims our creative energy.

Increasing feelings of love, starts with self-love. Replacing a habit of social scrolling with a daily meditation will get you started. Hopefully you are already beginning to feel the benefit of practicing the ‘Calm Heart Meditation’ (if you haven’t yet experienced it, don’t wait – practice if now – link)

“Knowledge gained through experience is far superior and many times more useful than bookish knowledge” Mahatma Gandhi

In opening our heart centre and inviting in the energy of love towards our self, we can be faced with a lot of sub-conscious ‘stuff’ of the mind that rises to the surface. Forgiveness is a huge part of healing these old wounds.

Forgiveness activates a deep level of healing. It works whether you believe it or not. The forgiveness meditation that I refer to in Video 3 is based the on the ancient Hawaiian healing technique known as the Ho'oponopono.

You simply say

"I am sorry.
Please forgive me.
I love you.
Thank you"

Repeating this throughout the day allows us to move into a space of forgiveness when we’re faced with challenges in our lives, including traumas or upheavals.

Energies of anger, fear, blame and judgement that create separation between ourselves, others and the divine are neutralised. So when you say "please forgive me", you’re turning towards the divine in you and forgiving that deep part of you that needs to be healed. It brings forgiveness to whatever is present.

Benefits of Forgiveness

  • Improves the health of your heart
  • Reduces negativity
  • Restores positive thoughts and feelings
  • Replaces anger with acceptance

If you’re consistently waking up and your first thoughts are, I feel tired, I can’t do this, I don’t feel able, I’m alone – then this is the energy you’re dragging into your day. It becomes your default setting and sets the tone for you day. It's time to set a new vibration.

This has become my ‘mantra’ throughout my day. If I feel overwhelmed or negative thoughts are flooding my mind – I repeat ‘I love, thank you’. It has an immediate calming effect. It stops the mind in it’s tracks and gives it something positive to focus on. Try it now – and keep saying it throughout your day. Try it the next time somebody says something negative to you or is angry towards you – believe me, it works.
